Abstract The Stockton Housing Market Area (HMA) is at the northern end of Cal- ifornias Central Valley and consists of San Joaquin County. Since 2000, the HMA has become more significant as an outlying suburb to its more populous neighbors. The central city of Stockton is 40 miles south of Sacramento and 70 miles east of San Francisco. Table DP-1 at the end of this report provides a sta- tistical profile of the HMA from 2000 through the current date.
