Abstract Although roundabouts have now been implemented in many parts of the U.S., very few have been built in Texas. This report contains best practices for choosing appropriate locations and design concepts for Texas roundabouts. This research effort is comprised of the following components: synthesis of available literature and analysis methods, development of capacity analysis methods, validation and enhancement of existing tools, and a spreadsheet tool to aid in roundabout planning and implementation.
