Abstract
|
The Highway Safety Office (HSO) of the Arksnsas State Police (ASP) administrers the Section 402 funds and oversees the highway safety programs efforts supported by these funds for the State of Arkansas. The Highway Safety Pland developed by the HSO identifies the traffic related safety problems in Arkansas and recommends programs that are most effective in reducing traffic fatalities, injuries and crashes. The Performance Pland portion of this report presents the process for identifying problems and developing programs to address those problems areas to which Section 402, as well as State highway safety funds, will be applied.
