The Performance Plan explains the process used by the Alaska Highwy Safety office to identify problems, establish goals and performance measures, and sleect which projects will be funded within the state of Alaska. It contains data, goals and performance measures applicable to key traffic safety emphasis areas identified in the Alaska Strategic Highway Safety Plan. The goal of The Alaska Strategic Highway Safety Plan is relfected in each of the performance goals: to reduce the rate of traffic fatalities and major injures by on third ove the next ao years.
