Abstract
|
This Integrated Outpatient Code Editor (IOCE) Pilot software contains ICD-9-CM diagnosis codes effective 10/1/2004 to present, and ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes published December 2011. This software is intended to give users the opportunity to edit outpatient claims using both ICD-9-CM codes and ICD-10-CM codes defined by the Code Set Indicator. It is not intended to be used to process claims using ICD-10-CM codes as the ICD-10-CM code set will not be mandated for use until the proposed date of October 1, 2014. This piloted version 13.1 of the IOCE will accept ICD-9-CM diagnosis codes for all the included versions of the IOCE (28 versions back to 7/1/05); ICD-10-CM codes can be used only on test claims with dates of service on or after 10/1/2011. Test claims with ICD-10 code type selected and dates of service prior to 10/1/2011 will return the invalid diagnosis code edit.
