Abstract
|
In April of 2011 the National Geophysical Data Center (NGDC), an office of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) developed a bathymeric-topographic digital elevation model (DEM) centered on Port Alexander, Alaska for the Pacific Marine Environmental Laboratory (PMEL) NOAA Center for Tsunami Research (http://nctr.pmel.noaa.gov/). The 1/3 arc-second DEM was generated from diverse digital datasets in the region and was designed to represent modern morphology. This report provides a summary of the data sources and methodology used to develop the Port Alexander DEM.
