Abstract The Electromagnetic Armor Team has developed methods for Non Destructive Evaluation (NDE) for several very different types of armor. At first glance these methods seem quite distinct, however when they are considered from the appropriate vantage point they can be viewed as two particular instantiations of the same basic concept. The two applications will be described in some detail, and then it will be shown that they are quite similar.
