Documents in the NTIS Technical Reports collection are the results of federally funded research. They are directly submitted to or collected by NTIS from Federal agencies for permanent accessibility to industry, academia and the public.  Before purchasing from NTIS, you may want to check for free access from (1) the issuing organization's website; (2) the U.S. Government Printing Office's Federal Digital System website http://www.gpo.gov/fdsys; (3) the federal government Internet portal USA.gov; or (4) a web search conducted using a commercial search engine such as http://www.google.com.

Director of the National Technical Information Service (NTIS)

Mr. Bruce Borzino, Director

Bruce Borzino was appointed the Director, National Technical Information Service (NTIS), an agency of the Department of Commerce, on 9 November 2009. Prior to his appointment as Director, Mr. Borzino served as the Acting Director and Deputy Director, NTIS, after his appointment to the Senior Executive Service in March 2006.

Mr. Borzino possesses 31 years of government service with the United States Army, General Services Administration (GSA), and the Department of Commerce with extensive experience in program and acquisition management. A retired Army Lieutenant Colonel and certified Level III Department of Defense Acquisition Program Manager, Mr. Borzino held a number of critical acquisition positions directing Army intelligence electronic warfare, logistics systems modernization, and business information systems acquisition programs. Mr. Borzino entered Civilian Federal Service at GSA as the Director, Electronic Business Systems, where he directed the acquisition and implementation of several government wide programs that expanded government electronic services to the public.

Mr. Borzino also spent nine years in management and consulting positions with the Anteon Corporation (now part of General Dynamics Information Technology). He directed the development and implementation of Enterprise Business Systems that integrated business management and technology applications for Department of Defense agencies.

Mr. Borzino holds Masters Degrees in Management and Information and Computer Science.
